Grant Programs

The Office for Victim Programs (OVP) manages several state and federal grant programs that are designed to provide support for services to victims of crime.  There are three federal grant programs, Victims of Crime Act (VOCA), S.T.O.P. Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and Sexual Assault Service Program (SASP) which provide grant funds to local programs to provide services to victims of crime.  The State Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement Program (State VALE) provides funds to agencies that provide statewide services to crime victims.

Four of these programs (VOCA, VAWA, SASP, and State VALE) provide funds through a consolidated grant making process.
