WARNING regarding on-line classes
for court ordered domestic violence offender treatment:
On-line domestic violence offender treatment "classes"
or correspondence courses are not approved by the Colorado
Domestic Violence Offender Management Board (DVOMB) nor allowed
according to Colorado statute for meeting the requirement
of court ordered domestic violence offender treatment. 18-6-801
C.R.S.
Offenders who participate in on-line or correspondence classes
shall also be required to complete approved domestic violence
offender treatment from a Colorado DVOMB Approved Provider
which will result in additional costs to the offender.

Annotated DVRNA
Once the DVOMB has reviewed all public comment
and all final edits are made, the DVOMB will formally adopt
the new Standard 5.0 Offender Treatment Model. We
estimate this will occur in early 2010. The Board does plan
on graduated implementation and plans for that will be distributed
and made available once this is formally designed. Additionally,
statewide trainings will be made available on this new treatment
model and its new components.
