Innovation in the Criminal Justice Administration Award

Nancy Feldman was awarded the 2010 Innovation in the Criminal Justice Administration Award. This award recognizes creative ideas and implementation of those ideas that transform the way we do business internally and with our external contacts.
In 2010 Nancy provided innovative solutions for sexual assault victims throughout Colorado, worked to save the statewide Victims Information Notification Everyday (VINE) system and consolidated three OVP grant programs, their three funding boards and the Unit’s staff which saved time and expense related to the boards. Nancy worked with Community Corrections and the Department of Corrections, and the Colorado legislature to improve victim services and compliance with victim rights issues.
Nancy Feldman is an inspiring leader and a wonderful example of a working manager.  Most importantly, Nancy gives crime victims a presence in policy and funding discussions that affect their rights.

Community Service Award

Jill Nore was awarded the 2010 DCJ Community Service Award.

Jill has been volunteering at the Victim Outreach Information Organization for the past two years, putting in countless hours into helping people at the time they need it most, right after they become a victim of crime.
In the past two years she has contributed nearly 2,000 hours of her time, often on holidays. When asked why she is always on call for the holidays she responds “so that people who have kids can spend it with them”. This exemplifies why Jill is so deserving of this award, she is always thinking of other people before herself.
